Britain's Got Talent 2013 - Live Semi-Final 3

We've all been given a day off for the football and it's a welcome return for the third semi-final of Britain's Got Talent 2013! And tonight, 9 more acts are fighting for another two places in the grand final. So without further ado, it's time to begin the show!

Our first act of the evening was interactive 3D dance act, using video mapping technology to create a visual light show, Freelusion. Combining graphics with dancing, do they have what it takes to make it through to the final? It was certainly interesting... All dressed as superheroes with a moving background which they somewhat interacted with whilst dancing, they got managed to get the first buzz of the evening from Amanda, moments before they finished. I have to say, it was no way near as good or as interesting as their first audition was. I wanted to see the ultra bright suits in the dark again, not this camp dancing where we could see them.

Second to perform tonight was bricklayer Robbie Kennedy, who in his first audition was asked to sing another song because Simon didn't like it. His second song blew the crowd away and he got a standing ovation from the audience and judges, with Simon even saying he could have a number 1 hit with the song he sung. So tonight, Robbie sang Bryan Adam's (Everything I do) I do It For  You. Personally, I do not think it was as good as Iris (which he sung at his audition), but he will be a popular one among the Mums who like this sort of gravel voice he has. Can he make it through to the final? Quite possibly, but it definitely depends what other acts are performing tonight as I don't think he was as strong  as he could have been due to his nerves.

Next was the big pink twat, Stevie Pink. Full of cheesy homosexual innuendo's, his act received buzzes from Amanda and Simon, with a buzz after the act from Alesha who didn't realise it had finished. Naturally, David loved it. Anything pink and gay and he's all over it. Alesha was very strong with her criticisms saying that she was glad to see the half naked guy on the motorbike (whom she knows) but "apart from that, it was crap." Simon pretty much said everything, he lost the audiences interest before the magic had even started. If anyone is reading this prior to the results show and is thinking of voting, do not vote for him. I will hunt down anyone that votes for this pink prick.

Moving on from that sham, it's act four Pre Skool. The most excitable act the show has had, they are a dance troupe from Port Talbot who are related to last year's finalists Nu Sxool. The act started with them removing their blazers (which was somewhat looking risky, thank God there was no stripping - that'd be wrong!). As I said during their audition, it was a bit out of time and generally looked a bit sloppy. Now I know they are all kids, but it wasn't that good compared to their audition. They are all definitely very talented, but I think a few years more practise and they'd be worth watching.  Amanda went as far to say as they were the best act of the night and that if they were not in the final, she'd kiss Simon Cowell. Potentially, this has just jeopardise their chances of getting in the final as I'm sure a lot of viewers would rather see that kiss!

Act number five was Thomas Bounce! One of the most boring acts ever. All he did was bounce his balls on the floor (cheeky!) and that's as exciting it got. Simon and Alesha both rightly buzzed him as it was crap. Plus, we were treated to the obvious innuendos and ball jokes from the judges. I personally did not enjoy it and I'm sure the audience did not enjoy it as much as they let on to do. When you're in the crowd you will cheer at anything, literally!

Next was brummie girl Rosie O'Sullivan. Another act I hate. It's no lie that she has had confidence issues due to her weight, but it's all she ever seems to talk about in her VT's. Whether she is using this as a scapegoat to make people vote for her, I don't know. But to me, we should be voting for someone based on their act, not what they have overcome. Credit where credit is due though, she is a talented singer and she received all positive feedback from the judges. I can see her going in to the final, but I can't see her winning the show.

Next up we were treated to dancer, Joseph Hall. I'm not a big fan of tap dancing (I'm seemingly not a fan of anything), but I rather enjoyed the act. It was just him throwing his hands and body round in a jazzy way and it was quite entertaining. He's definitely improved since his audition and he has a great stage presence. He managed to fill the stage all on his own which not many acts can do. The audience loved it and the judge loved it too. He was like a black Fred Astaire (nearly!). Simon likened him to a greyhound being let out of a trap due to his excitable entrance onto the stage and he didn't seem like he wanted to stop, or like he'd run out of energy! Joseph is definitely an act I'd personally like to see in the final and  I think with the surprises we have had this week, it could be possible. Something that most probably isn't possible, is his future goals after the show, he wants to be knighted by the Queen, go to space and work for Simon Cowell.

The penultimate act for the night was MC Boy, who Simon decided to buzz in the audition. Tonight, he is performing the same song as he did in the audition, I Need You Tonight. I guess seeing as he doesn't have any other songs he might as well keep recycling this song again. However, if he is to get through to the final, would we be forced to listen to it again? Simon's expression said it all about how much we don't desperately want to watch this again. What's worse, Ant and Dec both slapped MC Boy's bum... "It's a no from me!" Simon was first in to buzz along with Amanda joining in shortly after - but it turns out it was Simon hitting her buzzer. David was up dancing pestering Simon trying to get him to dance, whilst Alesha and Amanda danced in their chairs. Simon declared how much he didn't like the act and said that it sums up the weird night that has been had on the show. I can only agree.

The last act is singing group, The Luminites. These four impressed everyone during their first audition and they did it once again tonight. The performance was very stripped back  like their audition and thankfully did not involve many gimmicks to help them. It consisted of a beatboxer, a guy playing guitar and three of them singing. The harmonising was really good and it sound all very pleasant. I can see them getting a single out but I can only imagine them getting minor success like previous acts from last year such as The Mend, who seem to be playing most of their gigs at places like Butlins. However, it was an enjoyable act and I'm sure they will be in the final. The first and final act of the night to get a standing ovation from all four judges and the crowd, it was a deserved response.

That is all for tonight's semi final. It's certainly been an interesting show and slight weird for the majority of it. We've only got two more semi-final shows left to go which I am looking forward to, but I don't want it to end! I'll be back for the results show and no doubt slagging off the celebrity singer as I normally do!

UPDATE: Tonight's singer was Demi Lovato and to be fair, she wasn't too bad. The performance wasn't too over the top and she can actually sing live. She also had the balls to make a nice little swipe at Cowell, but he took it graciously and laughed. But that's not what you want to know, who went through? Listed below are the two acts that beat the other seven to get a place in the final.

1. The Luminites (Phone Vote)
2. Pre Skool (Saved by David and Simon - plus a tie meant they were chosen thanks to the phone results.)
(Alesha and Amanda used their vote for Joseph Hall. Simon could not decide, so wanted it to go to the phone vote results)
